Club History

The West Africans have two titles next to their name – 1992 & 2015, from their 22 previous appearances. The Ivorians have qualified for every edition since 2006, failing to go past the group stage only in 2017.

Key Facts

  • After winning the 2015 tournament, Cote d’Ivoire were eliminated from the group stage in 2017; they haven’t been knocked out at that stage in consecutive tournament appearances since 2000-2002.
  • Cote d’Ivoire netted 12 goals in qualifying for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, with only Egypt, Libya (both 16) and Nigeria (14) scoring more, while four Ivorian players scored two goals (Eric Bailly, Seydou Doumbia, Maxwel Cornet and Jonathan Kodjia).
