Jomo Cosmos and Namibia defender Riaan Hanamub says he did not expect Cosmos to support him as much as they have following the passing of his mother and sister in a car accident in August this year.
Hanamub missed four games with Comos in the Glad Africa Championship to go home and mourn. The player says his side has been instrumental in him coping with his loss.
The 24-year-old reveals that it has been tough picking up the pieces considering that he still has fresh wounds from the passing of his father last November.
Hanamub adds that he is the bread winner and as difficult as it is; he has to get better and put his head back in the game.
Meanwhile, Ezenkosi registered their first victory in the championship this past weekend against Cape Umoya to move from the bottom of the log to 11th position with six points from the same number of games.
Hanamub says the result could be the turnaround the side needs in this campaign. – Report by Lethabo Kganyago
